TV Para Chile

The students of journalism and film careers at Universidad de Chile have many ideas to make new media. But in practice they always worked separately.

But at last year, a group of students of both careers created a media project to support the students protest. This project is called “TV PARA CHILE”, a Tv Channel on internet, with programs with social contents. The initiative combines the communication knowledge of journalism students, and the audiovisual expertise of film and tv students.

“Tv Para Chile” began as a 24 hours marathon, but today the transmission is three days a month. In these days are live and pre-recorded shows, made by students. Also in streaming shows the latest works of film and tv students.

Everyday “Tv Para Chile” grows more. On last December, project wins the “Fondo Azul”, a fund granted by Universidad de Chile to student’s initiative.

Today there are students of sound, theatrical design, and engineering career, in the project. Furthermore are integrate other college students, they are from “Universidad de Santiago”, and “Universidad Católica”.

My nephew in my blog again...

I have many favorite pictures. The decision to choose one is very difficult. But after many minutes I finally decided. This is my favorite photograph. I take this photo because it is captured a very unusual expression of a two month baby.

The photo shows my little nephew in my house. He has two months in this picture. He is very curious and this photo captures this. In this moment, his mother does funny faces for him, and he looks her with this frightened face.  

This picture was taken in a weekend on May, 2012.  I took this photograph for the photo class, but I never showed up to teachers, because is started the students protest.

I like this photo because represents good moments in my family.   In the followed months my mother with my sister (the mother of my nephew), have a bad relationship. In present days my nephew is the only thing that unites them.

    The Baby in the picture is my nephew. His name is Cristobal, and have 1 year old. He is the son of my sister Diana.

He is a very restless and curious baby, he like playing with all things of my home. He learned to walk recently, and his mother follows him for each part of home.

He still doesn’t speak, he only babble a few words, like “mama”, “papa” and “auto”. He sings when the radio is on.

My mother takes care of him every day, because my sister goes to “preuniversitario” in mornings, and works in afternoons.

I really love my nephew, is like a son for me. He always smiles when I get home. He is the happiness of my home. 

My notebook

My favorite piece of technology is my notebook. Mainly because this is not only for connect to internet, this is my work tool. Every day I need my notebook to realize university homework, for write some for my job, or to repair one of the website that I admin.
I got it since 2010's Christmas, and is  my father’s gift. I was no expecting this, but in that time I really needed a personal computer.
Everyday I use my notebook, I sometimes think that I’m his prisoner because there is always work.
I  like my notebook because is very fast, and  has every program that I need. But I imagine a life without this, and think that would a very free life.

This is my favorite band

The Cure is one of my favorites bands. They are from England and have a thirty years career. Their discography have thirteen albums, and their sound is one of the most influential for artists at the world. Their singer, Robert Smith, is characterized for his singulary hair, very red lips and dark clothes.

In the First times, The Cure plays punk's music, but in  following years the band plays from the  "dark wave" music to dancing rythms. 

I Like this band because their sound  and lyrics are very diferents. Is easy to combine  pop sounds with complex sounds for them.

I like many favourite  songs of The Cure. One of them calls  "A Forest", i like because this sound is very simple, dark and dancing.

Welcome to my blog

Hello. I’m Iván Cea, I have 22 years old. I was born  on september 4, 1989. I study journalism at Institute of communication and image at Universidad de Chile. I like music, films, comics, arts, and the last web contents. I don’t like the sport very much, I only like two sports, the first is tennis, and the second one is wrestling, but this is a show more than a sport.
I live with my mother, my two younger brothers (Juan and Diana), and my baby nephew, his name is Cristobal and he has only 1 year old.
In my career I like very much the audiovisual area and digital area. Today I work on both areas: I’m  the host of “El Viral”, a web streaming program, and I’m the webmaster of two websites “Revistavaso.cl” and “tvparachile.cl”.
